What interests me is not the number. It is what the number implies. A group like ITC does not keep a vendor for a quarter century on charm. It keeps it because the platform scales with new properties, absorbs new modules without a forklift upgrade, and does not collapse when a new F&B outlet or spa gets bolted on. That is the unglamorous part of hotel tech that nobody posts about on LinkedIn.

My take: longevity like this is the strongest sales pitch IDS Next has, and it should lean on it harder. Hoteliers shopping for core systems are not looking for the flashiest demo. They want the vendor that will still answer the phone in 2030.
