In practice, that means pricing, forecasting, overbooking, length of stay and last room value decisions move between the two systems **in real time**, with no manual handoffs in between. You can read the announcement [on Hospitality Net](https://www.hospitalitynet.org/news/4134421/apaleo-and-ideas-announce-expanded-integration-with-advanced-revenue-controls). For a hotel, the interesting bit is not the press release. It is what stops breaking when the two systems actually talk. In most properties, the revenue manager sets the strategy in the RMS, a rate gets pushed, someone checks the PMS, a group booking lands at 19:00 and the forecast is stale by the time anyone reacts. Automating overbooking and LOS controls between PMS and RMS removes that lag, and that lag is where money gets lost on a Saturday night. My read: this is the direction the mid-market and independent chains needed. Walled gardens inside a single vendor stack are comfortable for the vendor and expensive for everyone else. Apaleo's API-first posture plus a serious RM engine is the kind of pairing that lets a 30-hotel group run revenue controls that used to be only available to large chains. - Pricing moves without manual intervention. - Forecasts update as bookings land. - Overbooking and LOS rules travel with the reservation. The next step worth watching is how fast Apaleo opens the same level of control to other RMS players. That will tell us whether this is a real interoperability push or a smart commercial pairing. ## Sources - Hospitality Net: https://www.hospitalitynet.org/news/4134421/apaleo-and-ideas-announce-expanded-integration-with-advanced-revenue-controls ## Citation Apaleo and IDeaS tighten their PMS and revenue integration.
